A non-profit organisation that aims to promote independent, high-quality science journalism across Europe by organising meetings and conferences, setting-up cross-border investigative reporting grants, and running awards.

Mission The EFSJ organises several events, like the European Conference of Science Journalism (ECSJ), the European Science Journalist of the Year Award, and activities for the members, like excursions, get-together and other social activities. Previously, the EFSJ also hosted the Climate Grants, a bi-annual investigative journalism grant. This may be organised again in the future, among other, new activities.
About The EFSJ is a federation of science journalism associations from several European countries. They are not open for individual members, but for those living in countries with no active science journalism association, one can become an associate member. Science journalism associations across Europe should get in touch if they want to join the federation.
