Mission Spotlight PA is an independent, nonpartisan newsroom producing unique accountability and investigative journalism about the Pennsylvania state government and urgent statewide issues. We launched Spotlight PA in 2019 as a bold new answer to the rapid and ongoing decline of local news in our state. We’re community-driven, member-supported, and make all of our journalism available at no cost on our website and across 77 community newsroom partners. We seek to produce high-quality reporting that holds the powerful to account, drives meaningful change for the better, and informs, equips, and empowers Pennsylvanians as voters and participants in our Democracy.
